Jönköping Sinfonietta is seeking a Principal Tuba for a varied repertoire ranging from symphonic music to stage productions and chamber music. With us, you will collaborate with leading conductors and soloists in a creative environment at Kulturhuset Spira.

The Role of Principal Tuba

Jönköping Sinfonietta is looking for a Principal Tuba. The position also includes playing the Cimbasso. We offer a permanent position with a probationary period, 100% full-time.

Your Future Workplace

Jönköping Sinfonietta is a dynamic young orchestra consisting of 31 musicians and an integral part of Kulturhuset Spira, a vibrant performing arts center. Kulturhuset Spira offers symphonic music, opera, musicals, theater, dance productions, children's and youth productions, as well as chamber music. We collaborate with leading Nordic and international conductors, soloists, directors, and choreographers.

As Principal Tuba, you will also be part of the brass quintet John Bauer Brass. John Bauer Brass is known for its innovative and joyful approach to music and engaging with the audience where they are. Each year, they perform appreciated concerts in both churches and concert halls for both children and adults.

Since 2023, Johannes Gustavsson has been the chief conductor and artistic leader of Jönköping Sinfonietta.

Our home stage is Kulturhuset Spira, whose concert hall has fantastic acoustics. We also regularly tour the region.

• Round 1. Vaughan Williams – Tuba Concerto movement 1 (with cadenza) and movement 2
• Round 2. Bordogni - 120 Melodious Etudes - no. 4 andante cantabile – Without piano accompaniment.
